  • 1/4 cup rice flour
  • 1/4 cup curd (yogurt)
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder

  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for frying
  • Fresh coriander leaves and grated coconut for garnish

Instructions:

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine besan, rice flour, curd, turmeric powder, red chili powder, cumin seeds, and salt. Mix well to form a smooth batter. Add a little water if needed to achieve the right consistency.
  2. Heat oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat.
  3. Dip each dhokla cube into the prepared batter, ensuring it’s well coated, and carefully slide it into the hot oil.
  4. Fry the coated dhokla cubes until they turn golden brown and crisp. Remove them using a slotted spoon and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to remove excess oil.
  5. Garnish the Fried Dhokla with fresh coriander leaves and grated coconut.
  6. Serve hot with green chutney or tamarind chutney. Enjoy your homemade Masala Dhokla!

Fried Dhokla is a delightful twist on the traditional dhokla, with a crispy and spicy exterior that complements the softness of the dhokla cubes inside. It’s a great snack or appetizer for any occasion.
